The eastern side of Rollsö, approximately 15 meters from the shore, is located outside the yellow prohibition sign.
The steamship Pius, constructed in 1865 at the Motala workshop, was originally built as a cargo vessel for canal traffic. It was sold to Nettraby lead factory, owned by Per Palen. The ship sank sometime around 1922-23. Its dimensions are 18.36 * 5.22 * 1.83 meters. It is upright on the seabed, facing towards the land/west, resting on a muddy bottom at a depth of three meters.
The wreck is extremely fragile. Please be cautious of sharp metal and do not break it apart.
