Poorly marked pipe

A poorly marked pipe runs just below the waterline in the middle of the bay.

Has NV charts. I now realize that my charts, which are three years old, are not current, but it is still worth reporting this. Brattholmen outside Björlanda Kile has a notch on the 3-meter contour that protrudes west from the island in its northern part. Right on the edge of the western part of this 3-meter contour lies a stone at 1.8 meters that I bounced on. Brattholmen is located between Norra Röden and Stora Hästholmen.

The red dot is on my mark. The chart in Sea Pilot shows a 100 m error there.

Storön Väderöarna

Shoal at the entrance to the old pilot harbor on Storö. Now a marina owned by the National Property Board of Sweden.

During the summer, it almost daily happens that a boat runs aground. 4 white triangles are painted on the rock as leading lines. These triangles are not on the nautical chart.

Ormösundet, Edebo

There is a shoal that is not marked on any nautical chart, nor when checking Eniro’s nautical chart. The shoal is about 1 meter below the water surface, but varies with high and low tide, with a peak that poses a risk of running aground. The shoal is located near the shipping lane where larger boats transport goods to and from Hallstavik’s paper mill.

According to the GPS map and the nautical chart, it should be 6-10 meters, but we ran aground 100 meters north of the starboard marker. We were traveling south from Väddökanal.
