Jungfrun

Jungfrun / the Virgin eller Blå Jungfrun / Blue Virgin. Som alla vet är ön en nationalpark. Ta inte med några stenar från ön hem – dels för att du inte får i en nationalpark (och för att det vore extremt respektlöst mot de som kommer efter dig mm.), dels för att öns historia, kopplat till häxor och annat gör att du drabbas av otur.. Parken får varje år stenar skickade till sig av sådana som gjort misstaget att ta en sten från ön.

Nationalpark: Du får inte framföra motorbåt, vattenskoter eller annan motordriven farkost med högre hastighet än åtta knop; du får inte fiska eller jaga, störa djur och fåglar, tälta eller göra upp eld, cykla, plocka stenar, ha hund eller annat sällskapsdjur utan koppel.

An absolutely beautiful and very mythical island, witches are said to have travelled there to dance with the devil. There are strange ancient stone circles etc on the island. Do not take any stones from the island, it is forbidden, and is said to bring you bad luck (a curse) (every year, people who realized this send stones they took back to the park service). It is a national park: You are not allowed to drive any boat or water-scooter or similar faster than 8 knots, fish, hunt, disturb wildlife, tent or make a fire, bicycle or bring a pet without a leash.

It is a beautiful beautiful place, well worth a visit.
