Outside Söderöra (just east of Furusund), I was driving slowly and slightly in the 3m curve. However, I was far enough from the marked shallow to not fall within the GPS error margin, which was about 6m for me. I was using BOTH Sea Pilot (latest update when this email was written) and my Garmin, in parallel. In any case, Sea Pilot is based on S-57. I lightly ran aground (though without major damage). Sea Pilot on my iPhone 5s and my Garmin 525s showed EXACTLY the same = WRONG. The chart is not accurate here.
Ok, I know the curve means between 0-3m. BUT… in this case, they should have marked the shallow where I placed a red box on my attached image of the route. The shallow is maybe 30, max 40 cm below the water surface. And the shallow is certainly 20-30 m2 large! In other words, almost all boats will run aground if they follow my route. My 5m Silver Fox has a draft of 75 cm. Managed to tilt up a bit…
