ReportAfter passing Tvl on the port side heading south, with the wind shifting from upwind to beam wind at 6-8 m/s, the boat experienced soft heeling. It was 1-1.5 meters away from Tvl, traveling at a speed of 6.3 knots, when it grounded, causing severe damage to the keel (Comfortina 35, draught 1.80m).
At this location, our plotter map, used alongside our Swedish map, indicated a minimum depth of 3 meters in an area marked as 6 meters deep.
Consequence: keel damage, water ingress, repair time of 3 weeks, cost 135,000 SEK.
